That if a printer can’t do Postscript, it seems guaranteed it can do PCL, or… it sounded like an Epson language was still understood by some of their printers, but that those all will do Postscript or PCL. I found that, yes, in fact these are nearly all decades obsolete. I want to examine them all at once without endless clicking forward and back. But each is on a separate page, which is irritating. ![]() Ghostscript’s documentation on deprecated and current devices wasn’t very exhaustive when compared with what I saw on (a site that appears to have mostly died some years ago, so the list of printers generally don’t mention recent ones). I’m a casual user who has been sticking with pxlmono and I wondered whether anything else could be useful for me. I was curious about the various built-in print output devices that are in Ghostscript or maybe are no longer in Ghostscript.
